I’ve been involved in the sport of cycling for 30 years I raced in the late 80’s and got to a cat 3 status and although continued to ride i quit racing and began again in 2009. This was a year of beginning all over.
I raced several times last year just getting my feet wet again racing highlight for 2009 was a 7th place finish at the Tsali challenge off-road relay
Goals for 2010:
- Be a better team player
- Upgrade to road category 4
- Race more 6 and 12hr events
- Compete in a 12-hour solo mountain bike race
- Get involved in the Asheville Youth Cycling program
- Do more race support
I’ve never been a team player, but couldn’t find a better group to be involved with. The team is very supportive and stands by each other and work together. This makes for a wonderful group!!! I will continue to race and participate with VeloSports for a long time
