2010 Highlights:
This past year was Jim’s first full year of racing after 20 years of recreational cycling. He competed in 65 races in 2010 across road and cyclocross disciplines, with a biathlon and a mountain bike short track race thrown in for good measure.
2011 Goals:
“2010 was one long experiment to find what kind of racing I liked, what my strengths and weaknesses were, and what direction I’d like to go. I’m starting out 2011 with a structured training plan under coach Joey Coddington. My goals are to have a strong spring of road racing with improved ability to ride at the front of the field and to be a factor in races, particularly in Masters categories. Improving my placings in cyclocross is a major goal as well, and I intend to have a more structured plan toward the end of the summer to meet that goal. A broader goal is to be a good teammate, to always work toward helping others on the team, and to continue to represent Velosports Racing in a positive fashion.”
