Why are you racing for Velosports?
The chance to be around people who are truly dedicated to excellence in whatever they put their mind to.
Hobbies/Interests while not on the bike:
Beagling (dog shows, agility trials, field work, and lots of floppy ears and wet kisses). My wife, Cheryl and I own 4 AKC Beagles (one of which has won his Championship). Also, whenever I get back to the ocean, I fall back into my pre-bike sports of surfing and windsurfing.
Your favorite team sponsor:
Mathews Architecture because they truly believe in the cycling culture and its impact it can have on the world. Check out Adam’s profile on the Mathews Architecture website.
In His Own Words:
My grandfather,
Charles L. Penny, was the 1928 U.S. National 6-Day Track Champion (see picture below), therefore I feel that cycling is in my blood. My Dad has ceramic art work in the Smithsonian, so I feel that achieving a bit of fame also runs in my veins. My wife is a retired Pro Downhill and Pro Cross-Country MTB racer, so I’ve even married into good genes.
